Intraform LLC | Western New York | Full-Time
Intraform is seeking a Development & Energy Financial Analyst to evaluate the financial performance of high-performance commercial real estate developments that integrate renewable-energy and building technologies.
This role combines commercial real estate, project finance, and renewable-energy economics. The ideal candidate is a strong financial modeler who can integrate development costs, financing, operating cash flow, solar PV, battery storage, geothermal, utility savings, incentives, and clean-energy tax credits into comprehensive project financial models.
Key Accountabilities
- Development Financial Modeling – Build and maintain project pro formas and cash-flow models incorporating development costs, financing, lease revenue, operating expenses, debt service, and investment returns.
- Renewable Energy & Building Economics – Integrate solar, battery storage, geothermal, electrification, utility costs, energy production, savings, O&M, and replacement assumptions into project economics.
- Incentive & Tax Credit Modeling – Evaluate and model federal, state, utility, and local incentives, including clean-energy tax credits.
- Investment & Scenario Analysis – Analyze projects using IRR, NPV, cash-on-cash return, DSCR, payback, sensitivity analysis, and alternative scenarios.
- Development Decision Support – Translate financial and technical information into clear recommendations for project feasibility, financing, capital allocation, and investment decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Engineering, Energy, Business, or related field.
- Strong Excel and financial-modeling skills.
- Experience with project finance, renewable energy, commercial real estate development, infrastructure, or energy economics.
- Understanding of cash-flow modeling, NPV, IRR, debt service, and sensitivity analysis.
- Renewable-energy and/or commercial real-estate financial modeling experience strongly preferred.
This is not an accounting or solar-design position. We are looking for an analytical thinker who can understand both the financial and technical sides of a development and help determine how energy infrastructure creates long-term asset value.
Compensation: $85,000.00 - $98,000.00 per year
Our Story
At Buffalo Solar, our mission is bold and crystal clear, power 1,000 businesses with clean, reliable solar energy by 2035.
We specialize in commercial and industrial rooftop solar solutions that help companies cut operating costs, lock in predictable energy expenses, and meet long-term sustainability goals. Every project we deliver is designed to perform as a true business asset, driving savings, stability, and growth for decades to come.
Founded in Buffalo, NY, Buffalo Solar was built from the ground up by Founder and CEO, Tyler Uebelhoer. With more than a decade of experience as an electrician and construction professional, Tyler recognized solar as the industry where he could make the biggest impact, not just for businesses, but for the economy and communities of Western New York. What started in his South Buffalo living room in 2015 has evolved into a modern solar development and EPC company serving organizations across New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, and beyond.
Over the past 10 years, Buffalo Solar has grown from a local startup into a trusted regional partner, yet our approach remains hands-on and personal. From the first consultation through post-installation support, we stay closely connected to every client to ensure their system is reliable, efficient, and built for long-term value.
We care so deeply about the businesses we serve that we developed our own in-house 15-Year Peace of Mind Warranty, providing unmatched protection that separates us from the rest of the industry.
Our vision is ambitious but simple, 1,000 businesses powered by Buffalo Solar by 2035. We have already come a long way from our beginnings in Western New York, and we are just getting started.
